The Symposium will be held in Agadir, Morocco from 6 to 8 February 2012 and will asses the progress made concerning the protection of wetlands in the last twenty years, discuss the new challenges faced by Mediterranean wetlands and plan for the future in a collaborative manner.

The 7th European Ramsar meeting took place in Trnava, Slovak Republic from the 27th to 30th September.
