Ramsar MedWet award for films on wetlands

The Ramsar Convention on Wetlands and MedWet - the Mediterranean Initiative of the Convention, established in 2004 the awarding of an annual prize for a film on water/wetlands that will be entering in the competition segment of the Rodos Ecofilms International Films + Visual Arts Festival. The objective of Ramsar/MedWet is to encourage and support the production of good quality films and documentaries on the theme(s) of water and wetlands and their conservation.

The award is accompanied by a financial prize of three thousand and five hundred (3,500) EUR provided by Ramsar/MedWet. It is handed to the winner in the closing ceremony of the Ecofilms Festival by the Secretary General of the Ramsar Convention or a representative of the Convention and MedWet.
