Environmental NGOs in the Prespa region, in Korcha,
The first meeting of the environmental NGOs in the Prespa region was organized in Korcha
on
Representatives from various local NGOs in the three
countries, attended the meeting, such as: the Friends of Prespa,
the Center for the Sustainable Development of Prespa,
the Sun of Liqenas and the Protection and
Preservation of the Natural Environment in Albania (PPNEA)
-from Albania; the Society for the Protection of Prespa
(SPP) -from Greece; and the Musical Youth, Prespanka, Fokus, “Zdravec – Foja”, and Tereza 2000 -from the FYR of
Macedonia.
During the meeting, the current activities held in the Prespa region by the PPCC and its
Secretariat were presented, as well as the PDF B project and the role of the
NGOs within it. The NGOs representatives had the opportunity to exchange
experience in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development
in the Prespa region and discuss in open about the
need for establishment of a regional environmental network.
