Major events/activities
Chronological briefing of PPCC meetings and joint activities:

First Regular Meeting of the PPCC held in Skopje, the
FYR of Macedonia, on 30-31 January 2001 (funded by the Greek Ministry of
Environment, Physical Planning and Public Works.).
·
First Extraordinary Meeting of the PPCC , held in Thessaloniki, Greece, on
29 June 2001 (funded by the German Bank KfW).
- Endorsement of the Concept Paper (for the development
of a multi-annual joint program for the integrated ecosystems and resource
management in the Prespa Park area by the Global
Environment Facility Secretariat, in November
2001.

Second Regular Meeting of the PPCC , held in Psarades, Greece, on 19-20 November 2001
(funded by the Greek Ministry of Environment,
Physical Planning and Public Works.
- Joint press conference for the
celebration of the 2nd Anniversary of the Prespa Park, held in Oteshevo,
the FYR of Macedonia, on 2nd February 2002 -World Wetlands Day,
(funded by the German Agency (GTZ) ).
- Completion of the Strategic Action Plan (SAP)
for the sustainable development of the Prespa
Park, in May 2002. The SAP aims at a common strategic policy and
management axes, and assesses the priorities for specific projects and
activities in the region (funded by the Greek
Ministry of Environment, Physical Planning and Public Works.
- Third Regular
Meeting of the PPCC , held in Korça, Albania, on 17-18 May 2002
(funded by the German Bank KfW.
- Fourth Regular
Meeting of the PPCC , held in Oteshevo, the FYR of Macedonia, on 7-8 February 2003
(funded by the Greek Ministry of Foreign
Affairs ).
- Second
Extraordinary Meeting of the PPCC , held in Aghios Germanos,
Greece, on 29 March 2003 (funded by the Municipality
of Prespa ).
- Approval of the PDF B request( (Project
Development Funding, Block B) by the GEF Secretariat, for initial funding
for the development of a full GEF project, on 5th June 2003.
- First Working Meeting of the Mayors of the Prespa Park
area , held in Liqenas, Albania, on 19 July 2003 (funded
